Lazy Thursday: Octoprint setup
No major projects done today, but I spent the night finishing up an OctoPrint setup with the Ender 3 I bought used off a friend. I’ve got it hooked up to a smart power plug so I can power on/off the printer from my computer in another room. I did the bare minimum networking setup to give them reserved local IPS, and set up a DNS entry for the OctoPi since android phones apparently don’t like .local domains.
There is a lot of tuning up that needs to be done with the printer. I was hoping it was decent enough to just print up some basic miniatures for summons for Gloomhaven. I foolishly started with skeletons, which were too fragile, even when printed too large for the scale, and there was a ton of stringing.
But at least I didn’t spend all night playing Dyson Sphere Program, so…
