Gloomhaven Mindthief

I was the first one to retire, and unlocked the “triple spears” class, though I still wanted to try this.  So this might be the last mini I can post without having to worry about spoilers.

I started taking pictures at the beginning of the process this time, just to keep getting practice I guess (but later stopped taking progress pictures out of concern for time). Eventually I’ll figure out a good consistent way to take these pictures.  It’s a little extra tough for my Mindthief (named “Give-Headache”), as it’s fairly small. For most of these I tried a different lens than last week.

First, some contrast to the miniature out of the box, vs after cleaned up a bit & primed:

I wanted to be a bit different with the colors, so his clothes started purple.  I had also just finished doing a ton of brown and I was tired of looking at the three shades of brown I use all the time, so I used this orange-brown for his fur.

But that’s where the time panic started, so I stopped taking pictures until I was just about done.  I did the sword with a the first coat of metallic blue, and with the purple underneath, it almost created a galaxy-like effect.  So, I didn’t add much more to the sword.

I stopped there for the night, satisfied, and it wasn’t until I was looking at these pictures today that I realized his mouth looks a little unnatural.  He needs teeth or pink/black inside or something.  Maybe I will edit a final headshot in below? Yup.
